For many being seen kissing their boyfriend in public is nothing but normal.

The actress and her boyfriend were watching the Los Angeles Lakers play basketball on Monday night when they appeared on the court's Kiss Cam - which zooms in on couples to make them lock lips - and although they complied, Selena was enormously embarrassed.

She told host Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show: 'It's the most humiliating thing that's ever happened to me, probably.

'They were showing these little elderly couples, and it was so cute. Then all of a sudden we're both looking up and we come on the screen and it's like... It was so awkward.

'It was so weird. I mean you have to kiss, right?'
Selena also talked about 'Boyfriend' singer Justin's new track which he wrote with Taylor Swift.

She explained: 'They wrote a song together and it's beautiful - it's amazing - I don't know if it will make the album, but if not I'm sure they'll release it at some point, because it's a really great record.

'It's Taylor and Justin combined. So it's a little bit of an upbeat song, but it's very acoustic.'

Justin's third album 'Believe' will be released in June.

Meanwhile Selena has attempted to add some spice to her sweet as candy image by releasing a new raunchier music video for her single Hit The Lights.
The teenager treated her fans to another side of her as she slipped into a a couple of racy corsets to capture her new look.

Selena is sure to set the pulse of her boyfriend racing, after he sees her style choice in the blue PVC corset.

The Wizards of Waverly Place star has released the reloaded version of the song as she bids to make the transition from child star and to try and drop her cute image.
The first video was released in mid November 2011 and was heavily promoted by her record label.

However, the new one comes five months after the original and shows Selena partying hard across a number of different scenes.

It begins with the singer standing in front of a lime green background looking like her normal self before the set changes and she is joined by her band.

Selena and the group of musicians are then shown walking through a wheat field while balloons fall from the sky all around them.

With the softer side of things out of the way Selena is then living out her dreams of being a typical bad teenager by dancing with a group of friends in the street.
The party then moves to the woods before the star of the video is seen in her revealing corset, surrounded by pink balloons.

Selena premiered the video this week after performing at the El Captain Theatre as part of a Vevo Go Show.

She was clearly pleased with the turn out and thanked her fans for their support.
She tweeted, 'Thanks to everyone who came out to The El Captain today for the premiere of the new video for " Hit the Lights"...'.

advertisementKristen Stewart feels mortified, humiliated and hasn't showered in days

Kristen Stewart Comic Con 2012Kristen Stewart is so distraught over the prospect of loosing Robert Pattinson, that she's taken to crying all day, ignoring everyone she knows and doesn't even bother washing herself, say sources.

Talking to RadarOnline, an insider has reportedly revealed that as the reality of her fling with married Snow White director Rupert Sanders starts to really sink in, the actress is becoming more and more despondent.

"Kristen is acting like a heartbroken teenager," a source told the website. "She is crying her eyes out non-stop and does not want to communicate with anyone.
"She is beyond mortified and humiliated and she is also broken hearted. She says she truly loved Rob. She says he was her soul mate, but she blew it and now she is scared that she has lost him forever.

"Kristen hasn't showered or changed or washed her hair in several days," the insider continues. "She is laying around in her T-shirt and shorts and eating ice cream. She really wants to believe that she can win back Rob, but I think deep down she knows that isn't the case."

Oh crikey, it sounds like Kristen has hit rock bottom.
But if she really does want to win Rob back, we think a little shower might be a good place to start!

The Mortified Christian: A Treatise on the Mortification of Sin

This is a Puritan book by Christopher Love (1618-1651) which was first published in 1654. The book contains ten sermons which comprised an exposition of Romans 8:13 (“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die, but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live”). The author is an interesting story in himself; he was beheaded at the age of 33, and his story is recounted in another recent book (A Spectacle Unto God, by Don Kistler, also published by Soli Deo Gloria). But in this book (or these sermons) Love gives a full and well-balanced exposition on what it means to put to death or mortify, the works of the flesh. It is marked by a realism that recognizes that while mortification is ultimately a work of the Holy Spirit, the Believer does have responsibility to undertake his part in it. In fact he is clearly commanded in Scripture to do so. Thus it is not an optional undertaking for only spiritual elites. And yet he recognizes that in this world, mortification will never be complete; he does not err in the direction of perfectionism. So he speaks comfort to the faithful saint who desires mortification but sees himself falling short, while on the other hand he speaks warnings to the self-satisfied believer who feels that because he is not guilty of the more gross and obvious sins, that he has successfully mortified the flesh and has “arrived”. To the former he says, “So you are not to judge the mortification of your corruptions by some extraordinary stirrings of sin in your soul after some violent temptation, but the ordinary frame and temper of your heart” (page 49), and “the stirrings and workings of corruption in your heart do not always argue that your corruptions have more strength and life in them than before, but that you have more light to discover and discern them than formerly” (page 47). To the latter category of believer, he warns: “You have an unmortified heart if you oppose sin partially, resisting some sins but sparing others, your beloved lusts” (page 58). In fact, toward the mistake of those who think their corruptions are mortified when they are not, he gives eight ways in which a man could so delude himself as to the the state of his soul. After dealing with the mistakes men frequently make in regard to mortification, he proceeds to give eight particular means or helps to mortification. Then he again offers comfort to those who have been conscientious in opposing sin, but still find its presence in their lives. To those, he says: “Take this for your comfort: though you use the utmost endeavors to mortify sin, yet you cannot withstand the existence of sin in you, but only hinder its reigning in your heart” (page 85), and he adds four other reasons for consolation as well. So here we see the pastoral heart in full flower; he warns the self-satisfied and the hypocrites, but consoles the overly-conscientious who might otherwise despair. Throughout, he shows a wonderful balance. The eighth sermon is wholly devoted to the truth that mortification is wrought in us by the strength of Christ’s Spirit, not our own, and lists eight differences between “a corruption merely restrained by the power of nature and a lust truly mortified by the Spirit of God” (page 91). The last sermon gives “special helps for special corruptions” (pages 109-119). In all, this is a very helpful, thorough, and concise (119 pages) book on a very important subject, which is both very readable and edifying. Following the ten sermons on mortification, the editor bound with this book two additional sermons on “the right hearing of sermons,” which are also profitable reading.

Mortified in the Classroom

Are you an educator? A parent? A grad student? A child psychologist?

If so, you might be “um like totally” surprised to know that Mortified is frequently approached by a variety of youth-oriented institutions (psychology classes, youth groups, high schools, marketing firms) seeking to either understand, educate or empower teenagers. While we're certainly intended as an entertainment project for adults, it's been amazing hearing from people over the years who've found educational value in what we're doing, specifically as it relates to kids. This notion is especially awesome since once upon a time, these same studious people were busy giving some of us detention.

So what happens when people contact us? It all depends. Sometimes this entails Mortified contributors or producers being requested to speak at such places-- reading their own childhood writings, discussing others, sharing observations about how kids think, etc. The result? Somehow, without our orchestrating, we were suddenly being billed by various educators as sort of like a weird, warped version of Scared Straight. While we think that's hilarious, we moreover think it's great!

By using aspects of Mortified, the aim is to empower students by providing darkly humorous evidence that everyone—even the hot cheerleader who called you a fat pimply loser—deals with the same amount of insecurities and neuroses. And moreover that despite all the drama we face in life (big or small), we do survive. We think that's important. Maybe you do too.

That said, since we don't have tons of lunch money to spare, it's rare that we're able to travel beyond our core cities. However, with the Mortified book, there is now a much simpler way for people anywhere anytime to utilize our unique brand of entertainment—ripped from the pages of real life—for educational purposes. Well, assuming they don't think this is a load of pretentious crap. Which it might be. Jury's still out, people. See? Still insecure.

Included in this section are a few educational applications co-developed by Jessica Bogli, a super smart adolescent health educator in Oregon, for using the book, Mortified: Real Words Real People Real Pathetic, in the classroom, the counseling center, the agency, the youth group, or beyond. These applications were developed to provide unique educational insights for everyone from English teachers to guidance counselors to child psychology students.
